Job Purpose
The maintenance electrical technician is expected to assist to commission & start up specified C2 plant(s). After start-up, following the maintenance scope arrangement of area, execute equipment repair/maintenance tasks with fully compliance to the company HSE rules. Conduct PM activities according to the PM plan in time. Register the maintenance record in SAP system. Assist maintenance electrical engineer to propose material and spare parts requisition as required.
Principal Accountabilities
A. General
1. Observe all safety, health and environmental standards in the plants and ensure all work practices are carried in accordance to the specified requirements.
2. 2. Have working knowledge on the procedures in the Permit-To-Work system.
3. Have a working knowledge on the use of Computerised Maintenance Management System.
B. Plant Electrical Equipment
1. Isolation and re-energising of electrical motive power to rotating, and reciprocating equipment, actuators and power outlets in accordance to given diagrams.
2. Installation and maintenance of electrical drives, batteries, emergency generators, pilot ignitors and electrical heaters.
3. Skilled in the use of measuring tools such as multimeter, mega tester, insulation tester, voltage tester, etc.
4. Perform routine preventive maintenance of electrical equipment such as vibration checks, greasing, insulation integrity, resistance checks, etc.
C. Electrical Installations and Transmission
1. Have working knowledge on the maintenance electrical distribution and transmission system, cable laying, trenching and trunking, concreting and paving.
2. Installation and maintenance of lighting, earthing and lightning protection systems, air-conditioning and ventilation, fire alarm system and electrical protection system, uninterrupted power supply system and cathodic protection system.
3. Assist Electrical Supervisor in maintenance of switch house
equipment such as switch gears and control gears, transformers,
and distribution boards.
Qualifications &
Experience
1. Educational background:
 A relevant qualification from technical college and above.
 Must possess an electrician qualification from the National
Labor Bureau.
2. Work experience:
 Minimum 3 years oil or petrochemical maintenance
experience. Previous working experience in a JV
environment would be an advantage.
3. Language proficiency:
 Good English reading skill.
4. PC skills:
 Working knowledge of computer skills in Microsoft Word,
Excel & Maintenance Management System.
