RESPONSIBILITIES

Execution of assigned HVAC works in accordance with applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including Foster Wheeler and/or Client Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control.

Prepare Material/ Equipment Specifications, Equipment data sheet, functional Specification prepared.

Prepare HVAC calculations and deliverables, such as Air distribution diagrams, Control logic diagrams (P&IDs), Air Flow Pattern, Zone and Pressure diagrams, Ducting layout, HVAC Equipment layout, etc.

Carry out the following design works as per project and leader engineer’s requirements:

Prepare and finish the write-up and drawings as per the requirements of PDP.

Prepare and finish all the documents and drawings according to local authorities’ requirement (For example, local authorities permitting and third party review).

Prepare and finish all the documents and drawings for the detailed design.

Load calculation by HDY software to prepare calculation sheet, select appropriate HVAC and smoke fighting system.

Design description and general notes

Prepare and finish design PID detail layout with dimension, duct layout, Section drawing etc.

Prepare and finish MR Datasheets for quotation of HVAC equipment, including but not limited in below.

Fan Coil

Exhaust/supply Fan

Air Cooler

Heat pump

Water pump

Perform activities such as – issue of Material Requisitions, Subcontract Requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations as per relevant Technical Practices.

Prepare and finish the MTO for subcontract requisition.

Update and revise the related documents and drawings on time according to the requirements of construction.

Review the PDMS model

Review Vendor Drawings and Documentation.

Ensure Project Filing is maintained as per Quality Procedures.

Liaise with other Groups as necessary.

Carry out Proper Closeout of all project related work.

Attend internal FW, Vendor and Client co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings in order to establish full understanding of scope of supply/work as required.

Keep HVAC lead engineer informed about matters related to the following:

Any major issue (design, schedule or manpower) the causes and proposed corrective action.

Any unresolved difference with other Groups.

Any request for changes by the Client which may constitute a contract change.

Attend Quality Audits as required.

Update Progress Report for HVAC activities performed within the reporting timeline.

Ensure transparency and fairness in team.

Write/Update Corporate Engineering Specifications and Standards as necessary.

Write/Update Design Guides and Checklists.

Write Discipline Operation Alerts.

Suggest new Software, books and Standards.

REQUIREMENT

Bachelor Degree in HVAC Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical/chemical/petrochemical Plant Projects.

2~3 years Pharmaceutical Clean Room design practice is particularly preferred.

Knowledge of HVAC Equipment, packages and associated International Design Codes & Standards and HVAC Softwares.

Good English communication and inter-personal skill.
