Key Responsibilities
1.) Development of new products
l Creation of recipe design, and conducting trials to validate the designs performance against product requirements. To create master-recipe specifications.
2.) Industrialization of new and modified products
l Conduct feasibility trials on production lines, and to demonstrate and explain the manufacturing process to plant chemists and production teams. To create reports that summarize trial results, identify next steps, and to propose preliminary process specifications.
3.) Optimization of product performance
l To optimize recipe designs to improve quality, processes and manufacturing efficiency.
4.) Raw material substitution
l Working with purchasing to identify potential sources new raw materials for cost and quality improvement
l Defining conversion plans and coordinating with downstream s for changes
l Conducting trials to evaluate new grades of raw materials to achieve cost reductions
l Ensure all new raw materials are in compliance with regulations
5.) Technical support
l Investigating and giving feedback in response to technical enquiries. Providing assistance and feedback on finished product specifications and achievable technical performance levels.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree or above in Polymer Science and Engineering, Chemistry.
2. Minimum 3 years solid experience in the relevant industry of Rubber or Plastic.
3. Be familiar with MS Office, DOE, Minitab etc., data analysis tools.
4. Good collaborative and interpersonal skill.
