General Purpose & Scope of the Job Position
Connell is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Industry Manager, Plastic Additives to drive sales and guide our sales team and drive sales. The Industry Manager's responsibilities include understanding the industrial market and identifying opportunities for profitable growth. Responsible for leading the Industrial sales team, this individual will be accountable for ensuring sales targets are met, generating leads, managing key accounts, and monitoring
competitors' sales activities. This individual should have exceptional communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Provide leadership and direction to sales team through aligned objectives.
Develop and motivate sales team to meet and exceed sales objectives and goals.
Develop strategy for plastics additives markets, including targeting of high value customers.
Partner with suppliers and Connell application development teams to bring masterbatch and compounding expertise to customers and help them meet their requirements through problem solving and smooth execution.
Drive business development in target market segments by building and deepening expertise of focus markets.
Drive and develop solid multi-layer relationships with the customer and actively drive internal stakeholder relationship with customers at all levels.
Establish and maintain customer intelligence gathering. Proactively keep abreast of customer’s organization updates and changes.
Meet and exceed sales growth, gross margin, pipeline, inventory turnover and other business goals. Manage sales forecasting and days’ sales outstanding (DSO).
Key Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in science, chemicals or related qualification.
Minimum 8 years in the Chemical industry or related plastic compounding and masterbatch industry with at least 2 years or more experience in management roles.
Experience at multinational corporation (MNC) is valuable.
Good leadership skills and able to lead teams to deliver to stretch goals. Able to set priorities and motivate team to drive results.
Able to engage customers at all levels of their organizations including at top level senior management.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish internal and external relationships to serve customer.
Problem solving skills
Command of both written and spoken English as well as local language.
