PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Troubleshoot Pressure System issues in the Operating plants
2. Inspect Pressure System Equipment (including Gasifiers, Pressure Vessels, Columns, Heat Exchangers, Fired Heaters, Storage Tanks, Piping, Pipelines and Relief Devices) during plant outages / normal operation, evaluate results and recommend correction action / repairs.
3. Develop repair procedures and inspection plan and provide technical guidance to plant operation / maintenance regarding inspection types and methods. Support repair and inspect for quality.
4. Develop Pressure System Maintenance / Reliability Plan and Mechanical Integrity Program considering various damage mechanisms.
5. Technical review of Equipment modifications using Management of Change process.
6. Design engineering of Pressure Systems including development of technical specification, review of mechanical strength calculation and fabrication drawing.
7. Develop inspection / test plans for fabrication of Pressure System equipment / Pipelines. Inspect during fabrication / installation.
8. Train Plant / Maintenance personnel on pressure system maintenance / inspection.
9. Maintain expertise in existing and developing technologies associated with the inspection of pressurized systems (ex: Shear wave, Eddy Current)
10. Input for development and maintenance of Pressure System standards, procedures, best practices, inspection contracts and contractor ion.
11. Participate at professional association meetings to determine best practices being used in the industry and apply them to our pressure systems.
12. Assume a role in incident investigations and? ? Cause Investigations of incidents.

- Regulatory Agencies
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Mechanical Engineering graduate (B. Engg, B.Tech, B.S.,) with 5 years of relevant experience in gasification / chemical / refinery / gas plant maintenance / inspection / engineering.
2. Working knowledge of the GB and ASME / ANSI codes for design and inspection.
3. In depth knowledge and experience in inspection & testing techniques for gasifiers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, fired heaters, storage tanks, piping and relief devices.
4. Knowledge and understanding of local statutory / regulatory inspection requirements.
5. Proficiency in English speaking and writing.
6. Good interpersonal and coordinating skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within the organization.
7. Desirable to have GB / ASME / API Pressure Vessel / Piping inspection qualification.
