BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Guangdong Verbund site project would be BASF's largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completion and would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. The site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide, and will be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the latest digital technologies and applying the highest safety standards.
Main Tasks:
- Identify EHS-critical equipment/device, define inspection interval and develop maintenance plan based on related safety codes and authority's regulations; Develop maintenance instruction for all EHS device and facilities; Train and instruct electrical technician about maintenance requirement; Check and review inspection result for EHS device and facilities; Develop improvement plan for unsafty condition in charge;
- Perform periodic inspection for electricalal facilities in charge and develop corrective plan to eliminate risks; Perform maintenance work requested by Production, EHSS and other departments. In any case, the first priority is to secure safe operation & environmental protection. However, cannot change or revise anything of process facility without plant manager's approval for safe operation;
- Support General, Preventive, Emergency maintenance and planned turnaround under plant's request & approval for safe & stable operation. It also is required to discuss or inform with/to EHS team, especially in case of Emergency maintenance & planned turnaround;Fulfill first aider/ ERT/ Hazmat responsibility according to company's Emergency Response Plan procedure; Support department safety meeting and internal/external auditing and authority inspection; Educate safe job instructions, EHS guidelines, MSDS of all materials handled for maintenance work to technicians & contractors; Record & keep maintenance history record of important electrical facility & equipment; Participate in Process Safety review, Management of Change, Pre-start up safety review, plant inspection and so on;
- Evaluate the qualifications and conformance of contractors according to regulations and EHS procedures; Instruct to dispose lawfully wastes (except wastes managed by production dep't) occurred during electricall maintenance and repair work; To take EHS requirements into consideration prior to any activity or work to make sure that the launching work is safe to prevent/minimize the safety risk, environment pollution and other potential hazards;
- Improve professional knowledge based on training matrix and yearly training plan;
- Continuously train and develop teammember's skills and competences in terms of technical and process knowledge to ensure own employees and contractors to reach required level of competence for electrical maintenance;
- Responsible for the sustainability of maintenance execution processes are being followed including notification, prioritization, planning, scheduling, execution, and feedback; Lead all electrical maintenance activities in charge, from maintenance plan to quality control to ensure reliability and availability; Align daily maintenance activities to meet production, EHS, budget, and continuous improvement objectives and targets; Responsible for on-site inventory of capital and operating spares to ensuring adequate parts supply and cost effectiveness, and develop supplier relationships to improve performance;
- To support the design, specification and installation of all electrical device for new CAPEX project and upgrading MOC work; Support and improve work execution productivity (Time on Tools) supporting optimized maintenance costs; To ensure first-time repair quality in an accurate, efficient, and effective manner;
- Develop disciplined and systematic electrical maintenance strategy based upon business needs; To establish, monitor, and optimize Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance Plans. Lead the implementation of electrical maintenance and reliability strategies that are consistent with requirements as defined by BASF procedure such as preventive maintenance plan, RBM, RCFA, BAP, CMMS and so on; To support autonomous maintenance activities of Production personnel;
- Lead the use of LEAN manufacturing tools to identify waste and drive continuous improvement; Responsible for implementation of the incident investigation process including Investigation, cause analysis, action items, documentation and follow-up for incidents involving their employees; of CMMS, includes equipment e-class; function location, BoM, and so on;
- Collect TAR work item list and prepare detail planning to support TAR coordinator prepare TAR overalll scheduling; Responsible for the safety and quality of all work conduction on site in responsibility area; Prepare and submit qualified TAR report on time;
- Responsible for design review to ensure maintainability of new facilities and coordinate any witness requirement for equipment on 'needed' basis; Responsible for system commissioning and start up and lead task team to execute the package safely and effectively; solve problems quickly; Responsible for executing maintenance strategy with site TSS Engineer, included equipment care strategy and spare part strategy and review Spare Parts and Interchangeability Review documentation; Responsible for establishment of CMMS, e.g. equipment e-class, function location, BoM;
- Responsible for coordinating on spare parts/special tools inspection, transfer and part preservation program with Project Team and TSS material management; Responsible for 2 year spare part list preparation & review, material number apply in SAP system. Responsible for special tools preparation for key equipment.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in mechanical maintenance in static and/or rotating equipment
- Good understanding of related in mechanical area, good understanding of related engineering standards as well as legal requirements /safety standards, mechanical maintenance process
- Experience in Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up of process unit is an advantage
